1. Dress appropriately when coming to the musjid.

یٰبَنِیۡۤ  اٰدَمَ خُذُوۡا زِیۡنَتَکُمۡ عِنۡدَ کُلِّ مَسۡجِدٍ

Allah Ta’ala says, “O children of Aadam (alayhis salaam), take your adornment at the time of performing salaah in the musjid.”…

1. Recite the masnoon duas when proceeding to the musjid. Some of the masnoon duas are:
Dua One:
The one who recites the following dua when leaving for the musjid acquires the special mercy of Allah Ta’ala, and seventy thousand malaa’ikah (angels) make dua for his forgiveness.…

1. Perform two rakaats of Tahiyyatul Musjid upon entering, as long as it is not the makrooh time for performing salaah.…

1. Do not take photos or make videos while in the musjid. Taking photos or making videos of animate objects is haraam in Islam, and doing so in the musjid is an even greater sin.…

1. Do not force yourself into the front saff if there is insufficient space, thereby causing inconvenience to others.…

1. Every musalli has an equal right in the use of the musjid and its items.…

1. Remain calm and dignified while in the musjid and do not be unmindful of the sanctity of the musjid.…

1. Together with keeping the musjid clean, also keep the musjid fragranced by burning oudh, etc.…

1. Recite the masnoon dua upon leaving the musjid.
Dua One:

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلٰى رَسُولِ اللهِ اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

In the name of Allah Ta’ala.…

When leaving the Musjid, it is sunnah for one to recite Durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and recite the following Duaa:

اللَّهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

O Allah, protect me from the accursed Shaytaan

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فليسلم على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وليقل: اللهم افتح لي أبواب رحمتك، وإذا خرج فليسلم على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وليقل: اللهم اعصمني من الشيطان الرجيم (ابن ماجة رقم 773)

Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “When anyone of you enters the Musjid, then he should recite durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), and recite the following duaa:

اَلَّلهُمَّ افْتَح لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

And upon leaving the Musjid, he should recite durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), and recite the following duaa

اللَّهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
