عن ابن عباس  رضي الله عنهما قال  كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يغتسل يوم الفطر ويوم الأضحى (ابن ماجة رقم 1315)

Hadhrat ibn Abbaas (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would have a bath on the day of Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha.

عن أَببي جُحَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهٌ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لاَ آكُلُ مُتَّكِئًا (البخاري رقم 5398)

Hadhrat Abu Juhaifa (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “I do not eat while leaning or taking support upon anything.”

اَلحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who gave us food and drink and made us Muslims.

Sunnats and Aadaab of Eating – Part 7

fruit1.  First remove the food before getting up and leaving. When removing the dastarkhaan, the following duaa should be read:

اَلحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنهُ رَبَّنَا

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala, such praises that are plentiful, pure and full of blessings.
