One should recite the following Duaa ten times after Fajr salaah before moving from his place:
There is no deity besides Allah Ta’ala, who is alone (and) has no partner. To Him belongs the kingdom (of the entire universe), and for Him is all praise. He gives life and gives death, and He has complete power and control over everything.
Hazrat Abu Zar (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who recites the following duaa ten times after Fajr salaah before moving from his place, ten rewards are written for him, ten sins of his will be forgiven, his status will be elevated ten stages, and he will be protected from all evil and guarded from Shaytaan for the entire day, and it will not be possible for any sin to destroy him on that day, except if he commits shirk with Allah Ta‘ala.”
Note: The meaning of the portion “it will not be possible for any sin to destroy him on that day, except if he commits shirk with Allah Ta‘ala” is that he will be blessed with taufeeq from Allah Ta‘ala to refrain from sins. However, if he commits a sin, according to human weakness, then he will be blessed with the taufeeq of making taubah and the sin will not destroy him, except if he commits the grave sin of shirk. Through committing the grave sin of shirk, he will come out of the fold of Islam and lose the taufeeq of all good. This explanation can be supported from the narration of Nasaai which explains that the angels will safeguard him and protect him from shaytaan and committing sins throughout the day, through inspiring him towards carrying out good deeds and refraining from sins.
