Sunnats and Aadaab of Tilaawat of the Qur’aan Majeed – Part 22

1. There are certain surahs which have been prescribed to be recited at specific times during the night and day or during certain days of the week. It is mustahab for one to recite these surahs at their prescribed times.
d) One should recite Surah Yaaseen in the morning and in the night

Hazrat Jundub (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever recites Surah Yaaseen at night with the intention of seeking the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala, his (minor) sins will be forgiven.”

Hazrat Ibn ‘Abbaas (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports: “Whoever recites Surah Yaaseen in the morning, his work for that entire day will be made easy and whoever recites it at the end of the day, his work till the next morning will be made easy.”
