Sunnats and Aadaab of Tilaawat of the Qur’aan Majeed – Part 25

1. There are certain surahs which have been prescribed to be recited at specific times during the night and day or during certain days of the week. It is mustahab for one to recite these surahs at their prescribed times.
g) One should recite Surah Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “The one who recites Surah Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a noor (light) emanates from beneath his feet and extends to the sky. This noor will shine for him on the day of Qiyaamah, and all his (minor) sins committed between the two Jumu’ahs will be forgiven.”
