Sunnats and Aadaab of Jum’uah – Part 4

Madina Musjid1.      To recite Durood in abundance.

وعن أوس بن أوس رضي الله عنه  قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إن من أفضل أيامكم يوم الجمعة ، فأكثروا علي من الصلاة فيه ؛ فإن صلاتكم معروضة علي  )أبو داود (1/214

Hadhrat Aus bin Aus (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: The most virtuous of days is the day of Jum’uah. Therefore, recite durood abundantly upon me on this day, for indeed your durood are presented to me.

2.        One should make an effort to recite a thousand duroods on Friday.

عَن أَبي موسى المديني رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَليهِ وَ سَلّمَ: مَن صَلَّى عَلَيَّ يَومَ الجُمعَةِ أَلفَ مَرَّةٍ لَمْ يَمُتْ حَتَى يَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّة (القول الدبيع ص401)

Hadhrat Abu Musa Al-Madeeni (Radhiallahu Anhu)reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who recites durood upon me a thousand times on the day of Friday, will not pass away until he is shown his abode in Paradise.”
