The Virtue of Ishraaq Salaah

عن معاذ بن أنس الجهني قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : من قعد في مصلاه حين ينصرف من صلاة الصبح حتى يسبح ركعتي الضحى لا يقول إلا خيرا غفر له خطاياه وإن كانت أكثر من زبد البحر . (ابو داود رقم 1289)

Hadhrat Muaadh bin Anas Al-Juhany (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever remains seated in his place of salaah after the Fajr salaah until the time of ishraaq, and thereafter he stands up and performs two rakaats of ishraaq, and he does not speak anything except good (i.e. he does not get engaged in any futile talk from the time of Fajr till ishraaq), his (minor) sins will be forgiven even if it be more than the foam of the ocean.”
