One should recite the following Duaa in the day or night

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ صِحَّةً فِي إِيمَانٍ، وَإِيمَانًا فِي خُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ، وَنَجَاحًا يَتْبَعُهُ فَلَاحٌ، وَرَحْمَةً مِنْكَ وَعَافِيَةً، وَمَغْفِرَةً مِنْكَ وَرِضْوَانًا

O Allah, I beg of you sound and perfect Imaan, and Imaan accompanied by good character and success followed by prosperity (in this world and the Hereafter), and mercy from Your side and aafiyah (ease and safety), and forgiveness from Your side and Divine pleasure.…

One should recite the following duaa before going to sleep

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِى كَفَانِى وَآوَانِى وَأَطْعَمَنِى وَسَقَانِى وَالَّذِى مَنَّ عَلَىَّ فَأَفْضَلَ وَالَّذِى أَعْطَانِى فَأَجْزَلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ وَإِلَهَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala, who fulfilled my needs, gave me shelter, gave me food and drink, the One who favoured me and bestowed upon me great favours, and the One who provided for me bounties and granted me in abundance.…

If one experiences a bad dream then one should turn to the left and spit thrice When spitting he should emulate the action of one who is spitting, without any saliva leaving his mouth.…

One should recite the following Duaa upon entering the home and thereafter make salaam:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلِجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

O Allah I ask You for the blessings of entering the home and the blessings of leaving the home.…

One should recite the following duaa before going to sleep:

اللهُمَّ خَلَقْتَ نَفْسِي وَأَنْتَ تَوَفَّاهَا، لَكَ مَمَاتُهَا وَمَحْيَاهَا، إِنْ أَحْيَيْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، وَإِنْ أَمَتَّهَا فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ

O Allah, You are the One who has created my soul and You are the One who will give it death.…

If one experiences a bad dream, one should recite the following duaa thrice, and one should change one’s sleeping position.…

One should recite the following two hundred times during the day:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

There is no deity besides Allah Ta’ala alone, who has no partner.…

عن جابر بن عبد الله أنه سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول إذا دخل الرجل بيته فذكر الله عند دخوله وعند طعامه قال الشيطان لا مبيت لكم ولا عشاء وإذا دخل فلم يذكر الله عند دخوله قال الشيطان أدركتم المبيت وإذا لم يذكر الله عند طعامه قال أدركتم المبيت والعشاء (مسلم رقم 2018)

Hadhrat Jaabir (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) saying: “When a person enters his home and takes the name of Allah Ta’ala (through salaam and reciting the duaa) at the time of entering and the time of eating, then Shaytaan says (to the other Shayaateen) ‘There is no place here for you to spend the night, nor any food.’…

One should recite the following duaa before going to sleep

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ وَكَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ تَكْشِفُ الْمَغْرَمَ وَالْمَأْثَمَ اللَّهُمَّ لاَ يُهْزَمُ جُنْدُكَ وَلاَ يُخْلَفُ وَعْدُكَ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِك

O Allah, I seek protection in Your noble Countenance and in Your perfect words from the evil of all things which are in Your control.…

One should recite the following one hundred times:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

Glory be to Allah Ta’ala, together with (reciting) His praises

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال من قال حين يصبح وحين يمسي سبحان الله وبحمده مائة مرة لم يأت أحد يوم القيامة بأفضل مما جاء به إلا أحد قال مثل ما قال وزاد عليه (ترمذي رقم 3469)

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who recites the following duaa in the morning and evening one hundred times receives such abundant reward that none from the creation will come on the day of Qiyaamah with the amount of reward that he will have except the one who recites the same or recites more (or something greater):

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ…
