Before commencing wudhu, one should recite the following Duaa:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ للّٰه

I commence in the name of Allah Ta’ala and all praise belongs to Allah Ta’ala.…

1. When combing the hair, one should commence combing the hair from the right.

عن عائشة رضى الله عنها قالت كان النبى صلى الله عليه و سلم ليعجبه التيمن فى تنعله وترجله وطهوره وفى شأنه كله (بخارى رقم 168)

Hadhrat Aaisha (Radhiyallahu Anha) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would like commencing from the right side when wearing his shoes, combing his hair, washing the limbs in wudhu and when carrying out all other works.…

One should recite the following duaa upon leaving the toilet:

 ألحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الّذِى أَذْهَبَ عَنّى الأذَى وَ عَافانِى

عن انس بن مالك رضى الله عنه قال كان النبى صلى الله عليه و سلم اذا خرج من الخلاء قال ألحمد للّه الذى أذهب عنى الأذى و عافانى.…

1. One should keep the hair of the entire head the same length. It is impermissible to trim the hair in two different lengths.…

One should recite the following duaa upon leaving the toilet:

غُفرَانَكَ

O Allah. I seek your forgiveness

عن عائشة رضى الله عنها قالت كان النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم اذا خرج من الخلاء قال غفرانك.…

1.  It is waajib (compulsory) for one to remain silent while the khutbah is being delivered e.g.…

Before entering the toilet one should recite the following duaa:

اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّى اَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الخُبُثِ وَ الخَباَئِث

O Allah I seek Your protection from the male and female jinnaat.…

1. If one wishes to hear a Deeni discourse over a CD, radio, receiver etc. then it is important for one to first find out the reliability of the person who had delivered the discourse as well as the subject matter that had been discussed.…

One should recite Bismillah before entering the toilet

عن علي رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم قال: ستر ما بين أعين الجن وعورات بني آدم إذا دخل أحدهم الخلاء أن يقول بسم الله (ترمذي رقم 606)

Hazrat Ali (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The veil for the jinnaat not staring at the private parts of a person is the recitation of Bismillah at the time one enters the toilet.”…

1. Upon the completion of the gathering, one should recite:

 سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

Glory be to You, O Allah, with all Praise; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except You, I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.…
