After completing the meal, one should recite the following duaa:

اَلحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي هُوَ أَشْبَعَنَا وَأَرْوَانَا وَأَنْعَمَ وَأفْضَلَ

All praise belongs to Allah, the one who has satiated us, quenched our thirst, and has showered us with bounties and blessed us with His grace.

After completing the meal, one should recite the following duaa:

اَلحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا الطَّعَامَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِن غَيرِ حَولٍ مِّنِّي وَلَا قُوَّة

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who provided me with this food, and He granted it to me without any effort and ability from me.

After completing the meal, one should recite the following duaa:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَ، وَسَقَى وَسَوَّغَهُ وَجَعَلَ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who fed (us) food and provided (us with) drink, and caused it (the food and drink) to go down (our throats) easily, and made an exit for it (for the waste to leave our stomachs).

Du’aa After Eating-4

After completing the meal, one should recite the following duaa:

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ، وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

O Allah, put barakah in this food and grant us something better than it

عن ابن عباس، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا أكل أحدكم طعاما فليقل: اللهم بارك لنا فيه، وأطعمنا خيرا منه (سنن أبي داود رقم 3730)

Hazrat ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “When you complete your meal, then recite the following duaa:”

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ، وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

After completing the meal, the following duaa should be recited when lifting the food and the dastarkhaan (eating cloth):

اَلحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنهُ رَبَّنَا

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala, such praises that are plentiful, pure and full of blessings.
