Sunnats and Aadaab of Greeting (Salaam) – Part 24

1. One should make musaafaha with both hands.

عن ابن مسعود قال علمني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وكفي بين كفيه التشهد كما يعلمني السورة من القرآن (بخاري رقم 6265)

Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas’ood (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports: “Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) taught me the tashahhud in the manner he would teach me a surah of the Quran. At the time of teaching me the tashahhud (he made musaafah with me while) my hand was between his two hands (i.e. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) made musaafaha with me with both his hands).”
