Du’aa When Wearing Clothes-1

At the time of wearing one’s clothes, one should recite the following duaa:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِن غَيرِ حَولٍ مِّنِّي وَلَا قُوَّة

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who has clothed me with this clothing and granted it to me without any effort or ability from my side.

عن سهل بن معاذ بن أنس عن أبيه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: من أكل طعاما ثم قال الحمد لله الذى أطعمنى هذا الطعام ورزقنيه من غير حول منى ولا قوة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر ومن لبس ثوبا فقال الحمد لله الذى كسانى هذا الثوب ورزقنيه من غير حول منى ولا قوة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر. (ابو داود 4025)

Hazrat Muaadh bin Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever eats food and thereafter recites the following Duaa, his previous and future (minor) sins will be forgiven.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أطْعَمَنِى هَذَا الطَّعَامَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِن غَيرِ حَولٍ مِّنِّي وَلَا قُوَّة

And whoever wears a garment, and thereafter recites the following Duaa, all his previous and future (minor) sins will be forgiven.”
