A Duaa for Divine Protection

One should recite the following Duaa in the morning and evening:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا

Glory be to Allah Ta’ala, and all praises are due to Him. There is no power (to do good deeds) except with His help. Whatever Allah Ta’ala has willed will come to pass, and whatever He has not willed will not take place. I know and believe that Allah Ta’ala has power and control over all things and that Allah Ta’ala’s knowledge encompasses everything.

أن عبد الحميد مولى بنى هاشم حدثه أن أمه حدثته وكانت تخدم بعض بنات النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم أن بنت النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم حدثتها أن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يعلمها فيقول قولى حين تصبحين سبحان الله وبحمده لا قوة إلا بالله ما شاء الله كان وما لم يشأ لم يكن أعلم أن الله على كل شىء قدير وأن الله قد أحاط بكل شىء علما فإنه من قالهن حين يصبح حفظ حتى يمسى ومن قالهن حين يمسى حفظ حتى يصبح (ابو داود رقم 5077)

A Sahaabiya (Radhiallahu Anha) who was a servant in the house of one of the daughters of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) reports that the daughter of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) mentioned that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) taught her to recite the following duaa in the morning:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا

For the one who recites this duaa in the morning, will be blessed with divine protection till the evening; and whoever recites it in the evening, will be blessed with divine protection till the morning.
