1. After reciting the dua after azaan, the following dua should also be recited:
I bear testimony that there is no deity except Allah Ta’ala who is alone and has no partner, and that Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is His servant and messenger. I am pleased with Allah Ta’ala as my Rabb, Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) as a messenger of Allah Ta’ala and Islam as my religion.
Note: This dua should be recited after the azaan as well as during the azaan, after the muazzin calls out the shahaadatain
Hazrat Sa’d bin Abi Waqqaas (radhiyallahu anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever recites the following dua at the time when the azaan is called out, his (minor) sins will be forgiven.”
2. The following duas of azaan may also be recited:
O Allah Ta’ala! Rabb of this perfect call and established salaah! Send salutations upon Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) (shower Your mercy upon him) and grant him his request (of interceding for all the creation) on the Day of Qiyaamah.
O Allah Ta’ala! Rabb of this perfect call and established salaah! Send salutations upon Your slave and Your Rasul (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) (shower Your mercy upon him), and make us among those who will receive his intercession on the Day of Qiyaamah.
O Allah Ta’ala! Rabb of this established call and beneficial salaah! Send salutations (shower Your mercy) upon Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and grant me Your pleasure after which You will never be displeased with me.
It is reported in the Hadith that if one recites the above dua and thereafter makes dua to Allah Ta’ala, his dua will be accepted.
