Asking For Goodness In The Morning And Evening

One should recite the following Duaa in the morning and evening:

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَتْحَهُ وَنَصْرَهُ وَنُورَهُ وَبَرَكَتَهُ وَهُدَاهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ

We and the entire creation of Allah Ta’ala spend the morning for Allah Ta’ala, the Rabb of the worlds. O Allah, I ask you for the good of this day, its victory, its help, its noor, its blessings and its guidance. And I seek Your protection from the evil of what is in it and what is after it.

 عن أبى مالك أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:  إذا أصبح أحدكم فليقل أصبحنا وأصبح الملك لله رب العالمين اللهم إنى أسألك خير هذا اليوم فتحه ونصره ونوره وبركته وهداه وأعوذ بك من شر ما فيه وشر ما بعده ثم إذا أمسى فليقل مثل ذلك (ابو داود رقم 5086)

Hadhrat Abu Maalik (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “When you wake up in the morning, you should recite the following duaa:

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَتْحَهُ وَنَصْرَهُ وَنُورَهُ وَبَرَكَتَهُ وَهُدَاهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ

And In the evening, one should recite the same Duaa .

Note: The same Duaa will be recited in the evening. However one will replace the word “morning” for “evening”. The duaa is as follows:

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فَتْحَهَا وَنَصْرَهَا وَنُورَهَا وَبَرَكَتَهَا وَهُدَاهَا وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيهَا وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهَا
