After completing the meal, the following duaa should be recited when lifting the food and the dastarkhaan (eating cloth):

اَلحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنهُ رَبَّنَا

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala, such praises that are plentiful, pure and full of blessings.…

One should praise Allah Ta‘ala after eating and drinking.

عن أنس بن مالك : أن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال إن الله ليرضى عن العبد أن يأكل الأكلة أو يشرب الشربة فيحمده عليها (ترمذي رقم 1816)

Hazrat Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Certainly Allah Ta’ala is pleased with the servant who praises Allah Ta’ala after eating or drinking.”…
