1. Using the miswaak increases the reward of the salaah seventy times.

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فضل الصلاة التي يستاك لها على الصلاة التي لا يستاك لها سبعين ضعفا (المستدرك على الصحيحين للحاكم، الرقم: 515)

Hazrat Aaishah (radhiyallahu anha) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “The salaah performed after making miswaak is seventy times more virtuous than the salaah performed without making miswaak.”…

1. One should not prolong one’s stay by the sick, thereby causing him discomfort. Rather, after a short while, one should leave.…

1.      To have a bath (ghusl) on Friday. Whoever has a bath on Friday his minor sins are forgiven.…

1. Console the sick and give him encouragement and hope of his recovery.

عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما  أن النَبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى أعْرَابِيٍّ يَعُودُه ، وَكَانَ إذَا دَخَلَ عَلَى مَن يَعُودُهُ ، قَالَ لاَ بَأسَ طَهُورٌ إنْ شَاءَ اللهُ   (البخاري 2/845)

Hadhrat Ibn Abbaas (Radhiallahu Anhuma) reports that once Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) visited a sick villager, and whenever he would visit the sick he used to recite the following duaa:

لاَ بَأسَ طَهُورٌ إنْ شَاءَ اللهُ

Do not grieve (do not worry), Insha Allah through this sickness you will obtain purity (from your sins)

1.      One should  wear one’s best clothes on the day of Jum’uah.

عن عبد الله بن سلام رضي الله عنه أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول على المنبر في يوم الجمعة  ما على أحدكم لو اشترى ثوبين ليوم الجمعة سوى ثوب مهنته (ابن ماجة ص 77)

Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Salaam (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) mention while he was on the mimbar delivering the khutbah on the day of Jum’uah: “Why don’t you purchase a pair of clothing and keep it exclusive for wearing on the day of Jum’uah, apart from your normal daily clothing?”…

1. Whenever the opportunity arises to visit a Muslim who has fallen ill, do so even though the sick may not be from among one’s family or friends.…

1.      One should inform one’s family members of his destination and place of residence during his journey, so that it will be possible for them to contact him in the case of any emergency.…

1. One should not while away one’s time after the Esha salaah in vain talk. Instead one should try to sleep as early as possible so that one can wake up for tahajjud salaah and perform his Fajr salaah on time.…

1. Insert the index fingers into the ears or cover both ears entirely with all the fingers.…

1.      One should recite the following masnoon du`aa of safr.

1) بِسْمِ اللهِ , اَلحَمْدُ لله سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ  وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ اَلحَمدُ لله , اَلحَمْدُ للهِ , اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ , الله أكبر, الله أكبر, الله أكبر,لا اله الا الله سُبحَانَكَ اَللهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفسِي فَاغْفِر لِي, فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
