Ahaadith on the warnings of not performing salaah with jamaa’ah

 

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ” لَا صَلَاةَ لِجَارِ الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَّا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ “

– السنن الكبرى للبيهقي

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said, “The salaah of a person living next to the masjid is not accepted except if performed in the masjid.”

 

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: « لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فتيتي ، فَيَجمعوا حُزما من حطب، ثُمَّ آتى قوما يصلون في بيوتهم ليست بهم علة فاحرقها عليهم »

– متفق عليه

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said, “I have considered asking the boys to collect a huge quantity of firewood so that I could go around and set fire to the houses of those who perform their salaah at home without any excuse.”

 

عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ فِي قَرْيَةٍ وَلَا بَدْوٍ لَا تُقَامُ فِيهِمُ الصَّلَاةُ إِلَّا قَدِ اسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ، فَعَلَيْكَ بِالْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُ الذِّئْبُ الْقَاصِيَةَ»، قَالَ زَائِدَةُ: قَالَ السَّائِبُ: يَعْنِي بِالْجَمَاعَةِ: الصَّلَاةَ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ

– سنن أبي داود – باب في التشديد في ترك الجماعة –

Hadhrat Abu Dardaa’  Radiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said,”If there are even three persons in a village or in a desert and they do not perform their salaah with jamaa’ah, Shaytaan then gets the upper hand over them. Ensure that you always perform salaah with jamaa’ah because a wolf devours only the lone sheep.”
