Wifāq ul Ulāma (SA) ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICAN 'ULAMA

One should recite the following Duaa in the morning and evening:

اللَّهُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ بِى مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ أو بِأَحَدٍ مِن خَلْقِكَ  فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ

O Allah, whatever favour I enjoy this morning or any of your creation enjoys, it is solely from You alone.…

1. Ensure that you perform the twenty rakaat taraweeh salaah every night. The taraweeh salaah is an emphasised sunnah.…

1. Do not mess the toilet area, thus inconveniencing others.
2. When ascending any place, one should recite Takbeer (الله اكبر) , and when descending one should recite Tasbeeh   (سبحان الله).…

1. Spend time in the company of the pious servants of Allah Ta’ala in order to derive maximum benefit from this month.…

1. Refrain from anything that is doubtful or haraam whether it is doubtful food or actions etc.…

1. Start preparing for the month of Ramadhaan well in advance. Some of the pious elders would prepare six months in advance.…

1.  When entering the town or city, one should one should recite the following Duaa thrice:

اللهم بارك لنا فيها

O Allah, grant us barakah in this place

Thereafter, one should recite the following Duaa:

اَللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقنَا جَنَاهَا وَحَبِّبنَا إِلَى أَهلِهَا وَحَبِّبْ صَالِحِى اَهلِهَا إِلَينَا

 O Allah, give us of its fruit and produce and make us beloved to its people and make the pious of its people beloved to us.…

1.  One should adopt a gentle approach when dealing with one’s companions and engage in light-hearted discussions while on the journey.…

عن أبي سعيد الخدرى أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال من قال رضيت بالله ربا وبالإسلام دينا وبمحمد رسولا وجبت له الجنة (ابو داود رقم 1531)

Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever recites the following duaa, Paradise becomes waajib for him: 

رَضِيتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّا وَبِالإسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمحَمَّدٍ رَسُولًا…

عن المنيذر رضي الله عنه صاحب رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم وكان يكون بإفريقية قال : سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول : من قال إذا أصبح : رضيت بالله ربا وبالإسلام دينا وبمحمد نبيا فأنا الزعيم لآخذن بيده حتى أدخله الجنة  رواه الطبراني وإسناده حسن (مجمع الزوائد 17005)

Hadhrat Munaydhir (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever recites the following duaa in the morning, I guarantee that I will definitely take him by his hand and enter him into Paradise: 

رَضِيتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّا وَبِالإسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا…
