1. When one greets his Muslim brother with salaam, he benefits him in three ways:

1) He makes duaa for him that Allah Ta’ala keep him in peace.…

After performing the sunnats of Fajr, one should recite the following Duaa thrice while seated in his place:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبِّ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ وَمُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

O Allah, the Rabb of Hadhrat Jibreel, Mika’eel , Israafeel (Alayhimus Salaam), and Nabi Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), I seek Your protection from the fire of Jahannum.…

1.  When someone conveys the salaam of a person to you, then you should reply by saying “Alaika Wa Alaihis Salaam”.…

 In the two rakaat sunnats of Fajr, it is sunnah for one to recite Aayah 136 of Surah Baqarah in the first rakaat and Aayah 64 of Surah Aal-e-Imraan in the second rakaat:

1)  قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّـهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَمَا أُوتِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ ﴿البقرة: ١٣٦﴾

2) قُلْ يَـأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـبِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَآءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُولُوا ٱشْهَدُوا بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ ﴿ آل عمران: ٦٤﴾

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لاَ أُحْصِى ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You (in Your mercy) from You (from Your punishment).…

1. From an entire group of people, if one person among them makes salaam to someone they meet, his salaam will suffice on behalf of the entire group.…
