Du’aa After Azaan – 1

1. After the Azaan, one should recite Durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and recite the following Duaa:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَّهُ إنَّكَ لاَتُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَاد

O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the established salaah, bestow upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) the ‘waseela’ (stage in Jannah and ‘Fadheela’(special grace), and grant him the “Maqaam Mahmood” (the honour of interceding to Allah Ta’ala to commence the reckoning for the entire creation on the day of Qiyaamah) which you promised him, indeed you do not go against your promise.

1. One should make musaafaha with both hands.

When leaving the Musjid, it is sunnah for one to recite the following Duaa

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

O Allah, I ask You (to bless me) from Your special bounties

When leaving the Musjid, it is sunnah for one to recite Durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and recite the following Duaa:

اللَّهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

O Allah, protect me from the accursed Shaytaan

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فليسلم على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وليقل: اللهم افتح لي أبواب رحمتك، وإذا خرج فليسلم على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وليقل: اللهم اعصمني من الشيطان الرجيم (ابن ماجة رقم 773)

Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “When anyone of you enters the Musjid, then he should recite durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), and recite the following duaa:

اَلَّلهُمَّ افْتَح لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

And upon leaving the Musjid, he should recite durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), and recite the following duaa

اللَّهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

1. It is sunnah for one to greet children with salaam. When Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would see children, he made salaam to them

وعن أنس قال : إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مر على غلمان فسلم عليهم (مسلم رقم 2168)

Hazrat Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that on one occasion Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) passed by a group of children, and he made salaam to them.”
