Duaas

One should recite the following duaa when leaving the home for Fajr salaah:

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا و فِي لِسَانِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ فِي سَمْعِي نُورًا، وَاجْعَلْ فِي بَصَرِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ مِن خَلْفِي نُورًا ومن أَمَامِي نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ مِنْ فَوْقِي نُورًا وَمِنْ تَحْتِي نُورًا اللَّهُمَّ أعْطِني نُورًا

O Allah, illuminate my heart, illuminate my tongue, illuminate my hearing, illuminate my vision, and bless me with noor from behind me, and in front of me, and from above me and from beneath me (i.e.…

One should recite tasbeeh-e-Faatimi after every salaah i.e. 33 times Suhbaanallah, 33 times Alhamdulillah, 33 times Allahu Akbar, and complete the hundred by reciting: 

لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْر

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من سبح الله في دبر كل صلاة ثلاثا وثلاثين وحمد الله ثلاثا وثلاثين وكبر الله ثلاثا وثلاثين فتلك تسعة وتسعون وقال تمام المائة لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير غفرت خطاياه وإن كانت مثل زبد البحر ( صحيح مسلم رقم 597)

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who recites after the fardh salaah tasbeeh (Subhaanallah) 33 times, tahmeed (Alhamdulillah) 33 times, takbeer (Allahu Akbar) 33 times, and completes the hundred by reciting

لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْر

his previous (minor) sins will be forgiven even though it be as much as the foam of the ocean.”…

One should recite the following duaa after salaah:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّ الْعِبَادَ كُلَّهُمْ إِخْوَةٌ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ اجْعَلْنِى مُخْلِصًا لَكَ وَأَهْلِى فِى كُلِّ سَاعَةٍ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ اسْمَعْ وَاسْتَجِبِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الأَكْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ نُورَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الأَكْبَرُ حَسْبِىَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الأَكْبَرُ

O Allah, our Rabb and the Rabb of every created thing, I bear witness that You alone are the Rabb, You have no partner.…

After completing the meal, one should recite the following duaa:

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَفَانَا وَأَرْوَانَا، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلاَ مَكْفُور

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who fulfilled our need and quenched our thirst, (O Allah), we do not regard our praises to be sufficient (in praising You for the food You have granted us), nor are we ungrateful (for Your favours upon us).…

During the journey, when ascending any place, one should recite takbeer (الله اكبر) , and when descending any place, one should recite tasbeeh (سبحان الله)

قال جابر رضي الله عنهما : كنا إذا صعدنا كبرنا , وإذا نزلنا سبحنا (بخاري رقم 2993)

Hazrat Jaabir (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that we, (the Sahaabah [Radhiyallahu Anhum], during our journeys) would recite takbeer while ascending, and recite tasbeeh while descending.…

One should recite the following Duaa after salaah

اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ لِي عِصْمَةَ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي جَعَلْتَ فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ نِقْمَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ، اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ

O Allah, improve my Deeni condition which You have made the means of protection for all my affairs, and improve my worldly condition which You have made the means of my living in this world.…

After completing the meal, one should recite the following duaa:

اَلحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي هُوَ أَشْبَعَنَا وَأَرْوَانَا وَأَنْعَمَ وَأفْضَلَ

All praise belongs to Allah, the one who has satiated us, quenched our thirst, and has showered us with bounties and blessed us with His grace.…

When ascending any high place during one’s journey, one should recite the following Duaa:

اَلَّلهُمَّ لَكَ الشَرَفُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ وَلَكَ الحَمْدُ عَلَى كُلِّ حَال

O Allah, for You alone is all highness (and majesty) over every high place, and for You alone is all praise in every condition

عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا علا شرفا من الأرض قال: اللهم لك الشرف على كل شرف، ولك الحمد على كل حال (عمل اليوم والليلة لابن السني رقم 522)

Hazrat Anas (radiyallahu anhu) reports that whenever Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would ascend a high land, he would recite the following duaa:

اَلَّلهُمَّ لَكَ الشَرَفُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ وَلَكَ الحَمْدُ عَلَى كُلِّ حَال

One should recite the following Duaa after Fajr salaah

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

O Allah, I ask You for halaal and wholesome sustenance, beneficial knowledge and (the taufeeq of doing) good deeds that are accepted (by You).…

At the time of wearing one’s clothes, one should recite the following duaa:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِن غَيرِ حَولٍ مِّنِّي وَلَا قُوَّة

All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who has clothed me with this clothing and granted it to me without any effort or ability from my side.…
